Welcome to the wild romps of the Wolf Boy!

You are entering the wild forest of Brauna. The ground is quiet with many years of pine needles and secret thoughts from those that have passed through the forest before. Walk a while and listen for the howls of the Wild Wolf Boy and his pack ... perhaps you will join him and howl at the full moon rising!

Some Of The Waiting Is Finally Over

As we are in the middle months of the year, some of the books I have waited for have finally come out. Here is a list of the ones that have already come out and I have read:

Monsters In The Hollow, by Andrew Peterson - This book was definitely worth the wait. The good news, there is a book four in the works. The bad news, it won't come out until late 2011 or early 2012 and it will finish this amazing series.

Warrier, by Bryan Davis - This book is a sort of co-series to Tales From Starlighter, only aimed at a younger audience. It was a good book and I really enjoyed it.

Tales From Starlighter, by Bryan Davis - This book was more of an adult level book, so my alpha female read it to me, editing out some content as neccessary. When I am older I will be allowed to read it on my own.

The Map Accross Time, by C.S. Lakin - This books seemed like it was a stand alone story and not really connected to the first book in the series, The Wolves of Tiabron, until you get to the end of the book. At the end of the book there are some details revealed that help you to see how the stories are connected. It also was a really good book.

The Birthing Tree, by William D. Burt - As always, Burt has knocked it out of the park again. The alpha female and I both agreed that this was more than likely the end of this series. Even though this book is Christian Fantacy, it is much more allegorical than any of the other series that I have read. I really enjoyed the new hawk-foxes, or sly-sorcs that the author introduced in this book.

The Ale Boy's Feast, by Jeffrey Overstreet - I did not feel that this book ended the series. I really think there should be another book after this one, but if the author says this is the last one in the series, then so be it. This series is more of a slow start, but once you get into the action it is hard to put down until you get to the end.

The Rogue Crew, by Brian Jaques - After being profoundly saddened that Brian Jaques died earlier this year, it was comforting to finally read the last book in this long and wonderful series. The Rogue Crew is the final book in the illustrious Redwall series, but only because the author is now deceased. The book definitely did not wrap up the series at all. I am hoping that somebody will stumble accross some notes from the the author and be able to perhaps peice together another book that will truely wrap up the Redwall series.

I will add to this list in the future and I will also list the books that I am still waiting to come out.

Bye for Now,
The Wolf Boy
